Scion is offering the offer of all offers: a lease of a Scion’s iQ mini car for less than one hundred bucks a month.
Industry observers believe the move was made to help Scion compete in a market that just keeps growing more competitive. One of the iQ’s main competitors is the Chevrolet Spark. GM has sold nearly 5,000 Sparks since its release towards the end of this July, while Scion has moved around 6,200 iQs since the start of 2012. Scion denies that the affordable lease program is in response to anything that General Motors has done.
Lessees can drive a Scion iQ for 36 months after paying $1,969 at the signing and then $99 a month thereafter.
